St. Mary’s Launches Mentor Program

Are you an alum or parent of alumni in the Schools of Saint Mary community who would like to share your insights on careers with mentees interested in their industry or occupation? Then this is the program for you!
Saint Mary’s High School proudly announces the launch of our Mentor Program, designed to unite alum professionals with recent graduates as well as current junior and senior students through a one-on-one relationship in a work, organization, or school setting to cultivate contacts, engender success, and celebrate the mutual connections to St. Mary’s High School.

It is the goal of our Office of Development and Alumni Relations to form and sustain a professional network to foster alliances that will provide our graduates with leadership skills, job opportunities, and resources by living out Christ’s example working in today’s world while growing our circle of generosity to future Gaels.
Share your experiences, wisdom, and lessons learned with eager alums and students seeking guidance. Your mentorship can make a profound difference in their lives, providing the encouragement and support they need to thrive. As a mentor, you will also gain a sense of fulfillment, expand your professional network, and contribute to the growth of our school community.

In the words of St. Francis of Assisi, “For it is in giving that we receive…” Please consider onboarding a mentee. The value of giving back is priceless, and the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction it brings is immeasurable. To begin the steps for your monitored match, please visit the Mentor Program page for details or contact Mrs. Kiera Walsh, director of parent and alumni relations, at 516-627-4605 or kwalsh@stmary.ws

Make a difference and become a mentor today!

To invest in the success of a fellow St. Mary’s Gael, please contact Mr. Edward Short, vice president of development, at 516-627-2711 or eshort@stmary.ws.

Please note: Mentors who meet with students must be Virtus Trained, which involves completing a training program. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. If you are not yet Virtus Trained, we can guide you through the process.
