Timothy L. Fulton graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1996 and attended the University of Rhode Island. Timothy worked part-time throughout his high school and college years and owned multiple businesses before starting his present company. He attributes his current entrepreneurial success to the knowledge he gained through these important early experiences. As a result, he advocates entrepreneurship as an additional life pathway for those who dream of owning their own business one day.
Today, Timothy is the founder and President of T&T Scrap LLC. He started his business from the ground up in 2004. T&T Scrap, LLC is now one of New York City’s largest and most environmentally conscious scrap metal recycling firms, with multiple facilities located throughout the city. T&T Scrap exports metal throughout the world, including the Middle East, the Far East, and South America. His company plays an integral role in the sustainability and conservation of natural resources at a time when climate change dictates serious action.
Timothy attributes his success to hard work, leadership, and doing something he loves. He finds working with giant, powerful machines and watching them move heavy metal fun, not having to spend his day at a desk gratifying and building his own business infectious. He likes what he does!
The power of community action and networking is a priority for Tim. He is an active member of
the New York League of Conservation Voters (an American environmental group that advocates for sound environmental laws and policies within our government), a member of the East Williamsburg Valley Industrial Development Corporation (EWVIDCO), and serves as Secretary of the New York State chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.
Timothy understands the value of community service, something he first learned at St. Mary’s years ago. He has served on the SCO Family of Services Board of Directors since 2014. He is also Chairman of the Board of Our Lady of Grace School and a former member of the St. Mary’s Elementary School Board of Directors.
Timothy happily resides in Manhasset with his wife, Meghan, and their four young children, Henry, Theodore (Teddy), Maeve and Maggie. He is an active, engaged dad and enjoys being involved in his children’s activities and coaching youth sports teams.
