Black History Month presents an important opportunity to foster an inclusive and reflective school environment. It is a time to celebrate achievements, acknowledge struggles, and encourage meaningful conversations about Black history and its impact on today’s society. We had some wonderful seniors share their thoughts and reflections at our Monday assembly about what this month means to them.
The Return-on-Investment at St. Mary's High School
The return-on-investment offered by St. Mary's to parents and students alike can be measured in many ways. We deliver to each and every one of our students a grounding in the liberal arts and the rich Catholic tradition that will guide and fortify them for all their days. All of these lifelong benefits start with our School Counseling Department, which sends our students to some of the best colleges and universities in the nation with scholarships totaling $22 million.

St. Mary’s commitment to the Catholic tradition of faith and reason has yielded strong results. The school’s college-placement rate is exemplary, with the school reporting that 99 percent of recent graduates have been accepted into college. They have entered Brown, Cornell, Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, and many other top colleges. For a school with fewer than 100 graduates annually, this is an impressive accomplishment.
On Friday, October 27, 2023, seventeen juniors and seniors from St. Mary’s participated in the “National Civics Day” sponsored by Long Island University (LIU) at their White House Replica on the Brookville campus.
